1. Article Preference

(MSc FI ONLY!) You can select a top 3 of articles you'd like to write your thesis about. Once you have submitted your preference, you can't change it. The preferences will be processed, and you will be notified when your article/topic is known.

2.1 Submission Article Assessment

(MSc FI ONLY!) You must submit a draft by the provided deadline. If you miss the deadline, the process will automatically jump to failed.

2.2 Submission Article Replication

(MSc FI ONLY!) You must submit a draft by the provided deadline. If you miss the deadline, the process will automatically jump to failed.

2.3 Submission Article Extension

(MSc FI ONLY!) You must submit a draft by the provided deadline. If you miss the deadline, the process will automatically jump to failed.









1. Topic Preference

1.1 Submission proposal

You must submit your proposal by the provided deadline. After submission there is no other required from your side.

1.2 Assessment proposal

Your coach is reviewing your thesis proposal. You will either receive a proposal pass or a proposal fail. After a proposal pass you can continue with your thesis. After a proposal fail, you will have to/can submit a proposal re-sit.

1.3 Submission proposal re-sit

Only applicable if you received a proposal fail. You must submit your proposal by the provided re-sit deadline. After submission there is no other required from your side.

1.4 Assessment proposal re-sit

Your coach is reviewing your thesis proposal. You will either receive a proposal re-sit pass or a proposal re-sit fail. After a proposal re-sit pass you can continue with your thesis.

2.1 Submission thesis

You must submit your final thesis by the provided deadline. After submission there is no other required from your side.

2.2a Assessment thesis (coach)

Your coach is reviewing your thesis.

2.2b Assessment thesis (second assessor)

Your second assessor is reviewing your thesis.

2.2c Calculate decision

TMS calculates if the coach and second assessor agree and decides which phase to jump to.

2.3 Submission thesis re-sit

Only applicable if you received thesis fail or if you didn't submit a thesis at the first thesis submission deadline. You must submit your final thesis re-sit by the provided deadline. After submission there is no other required from your side.

2.4a Assessment thesis re-sit (coach)

Your coach is reviewing your thesis.

2.4b Assessment thesis re-sit (second assessor)

Your second assessor is reviewing your thesis.

2.4c Calculate decision

TMS calculates if the coach and second assessor agree and decides which phase to jump to.

3.1 Assessment oral exam (coach)

Your coach is filling out feedback and grading your thesis and oral exam

3.2 Assessment oral exam (second assessor)

Your second assessor is filling out feedback and grading your thesis and oral exam

3.3 Assessment oral exam re-sit (coach)

Only applicable if you received a resit. Your coach is filling out feedback and grading your oral exam re-sit

3.4 Assessment oral exam re-sit (second assessor)

Only applicable if you received a resit.

Your second assessor is filling out feedback and grading your oral exam re-sit

4. Thesis completed

You have passed your written thesis and oral exam. Your grade has been processed by your coach and second assessor. The grade will automatically be processed in OSIRIS. Grades are processed once a week.

Thesis cancelled

You have indicated that you will not complete the thesis trajectory this academic year.

Thesis failed

Your thesis (re-sit) has not been deemed sufficient. You cannot continue with the oral exam and you will have to re-start the thesis trajectory in the following academic year. 

Fraud assessment

The coach and examination board are investigating possible fraud

Embargo

The examination board will set an embargo if requested.
